200 and counting…

Hello All

You may have heard – and read here – that Queen Mary 2 recently completed her 200th crossing. Well it turned out to be every bit as special as it should have been – and a memorable occasion for all those on board. Please enjoy this brief video of the highlights.

The video cannot be shown at the moment. Please try again later.

Marvelous – and now we look forward to celebrating the 10th Birthday of the most famous ship in the world and a chance to be part of those celebrations. More to come on that soon.

Best Regards

Hi Peter, Thank you so much for sharing these special Cunard moments with us via your blog. We would have loved to have been on that wonderful Celebratory Cruise on Queen Mary 2 when she sailed ‘Her’ 200th Transatlantic Crossing.
What an amazing experience for all the Guests and of course everybody involved. However, we can’t sail them all, as much as we would like to of course! We are though, very proud to say that we are now Platinum Members and have sailed on all 3 Queens. We very much look forward to boarding Queen Victoria on May 9th 2014 when all 3 Queens will be in Southampton again, this time for the 10th Birthday of Queen Mary 2. Wonder if the Red Arrows will be on the agenda for that special day! They have yet to fly over Southampton and this could be the day, weather permitting!! Any news of what the celebrations may include?
Once again, many thanks. Please keep the blogs coming Peter. They are so interesting and we always love to read them particularly with attached film footage. We are sure the Guests will have come home from that great Voyage with some wonderful memories. Kind regards, Diane & David Warren

Great video, did she berth at Manhattan or Brooklyn? Looking forward to going transatlantic again one day.

  3. Roger Hallett (Australia) says:

Congratulations to Cunard and, of course, QM2 and all the crew. Good images of the ship and NY bringing back wonderful memories of the Maiden World Voyage, QM2 (and QEII) in Sydney, rounding Cape Horn, and of the Three Queens in New York’s Hudson River. Queen Mary 2 still looks THE most beautiful of all!

  4. Chris and Alison says:

Congratulations to everyone associated with the magnificent Queen Mary 2 on her 200th Transatlantic crossing. In 2010 my wife and I were lucky enough to celebrate our Silver wedding anniversary on the QM2, it was a Transatlantic experience that we will never forget!

  5. Eddie Marshall says:

Diane, we too are boarding Queen Victoria on 9th May 2013. I would love to know what they have planned in Southampton, and would love to see a Red Arrows display! We’re really looking forward to tge voyage as we’ve never been to the Baltics before. Eddie and Jean Marshall

  6. Bill Bradbury says:

Congratulations to all at Cunard topping the poll again for best cruise line scoring 4.12 0ut of 5 as a result of passeneger reviews on the Cruise site. Victoria (my favourite) tops the poll with Elizabeth 3rd. and QM2 5th. It is all down to the crew from those we never see to those who serve us at table and who cook for us.

I enjoy reading the daily report of the current QM2 Atlantic crossing. Keep up the good work
