Hello All

Last night, at the prestigious Daily Telegraph Ultra Travel Awards in London, Cunard were awarded ‘Best Cruise Line’ for the 7th consecutive year – Wow. To win something once is very cool – but to then repeat that win every year for 7 years is very special indeed. The award was collected by Richard Curtis, our Head of Brand Marketing and you can see his beaming smile below as he collected the award on behalf of all of us at Cunard.

This award is very special for a couple of reasons. First and foremost is recognises the wonderful contribution of every one of our officers and crew across the fleet. It is their White Star Service that lies at the heart of everything we do – congratulations to each and every one of them.

The second reason this award is very special is that many of our Daily Telegraph reading passengers will have voted for us – and we are very appreciative of that as they know best. To those reading this in North America – I would describe the Daily Telegraph as a similar paper to The New York Times.

We are all working our socks off now that the ships are back from their World Voyages – Queen Mary 2 is well into her Transatlantic Crossing season and Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria are at home in Southampton and sailing around Europe. This award will give us all renewed confidence and determination in all that we do to provide legendary experiences for our passengers. The defence of our award started from the moment Richard collected the award last night.

I trust you are all keeping well – and if you have not yet booked to sail with us this summer – now is the time to make your choice to come and join us!

Best Regards

Peter

Simply the best-better than all the rest. So richly deserved.Congratulations to Peter, all the officers & crew & all at Cunard.
We will see some of you again onboard Queen Victoria in March 2014. Our 31st voyage with Cunard since 1990.

  2. bill wade says:

when are you sailing from and to liverpool

  3. Kenneth Eden says:

Once again, could it be 7 times the charm? – Cunard Line is awarded top honors for excellence. Bravo!

  4. Bill Bradbury says:

The Daily Telegraph are only telling us what we already know that Cunard is the ONLY cruise line, especially for discerning cruisers. Well done crew and all that work unseen who make our cruising so pleasurable, as well as those who serve us at table filling us with sweetmeats and plying us with drinks. It’s the senior management at Cunard that is a bit dodgy!!–only joking Peter.

  5. Roger Waterfall says:

No contest, will there ever be? doubt it.

  6. Congratulations!
My wife and I are looking forward to a round trip trans Atlantic
Again. After having been treated for cancer this voyage will
Be treated as extra special for us.
    Michel.

Well done Everyone at Cunard, looking forward to our next trip On QV in September, then Christmas on QE, and Iceland in 2014. I think that shows how much we love being Cunarders.

  10. Paul Cunane says:

Congratulations ! and thank goodness common sense has prevailed and you’ve seen fit to ammend the ‘Get Away’ promotions (from September) for your single guests.

  11. Malcolm & Josephine Eaton- Lowson says:

Many congratulations to Cunard for winning this award once more it is well deserved. As we have homes in UK and Australia we do travel around the World each year trying to miss Winters. We have cruised many times since we first met on P & O’s Oriana in 1999. However, following cruises from Southampton to Sydney with Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria we are now true Cunarders, and look forward to joining Victoria once more on 2nd January 2014 to visit South America and sail around Cape Horn.

We do enjoy reading your e.mails Peter keep up the good work.
