Hello all, we had a wonderful day recently on Queen Elizabeth with a visit from The Princess Royal. We captured the day on video and I would like to share that with you. We are blessed with such wonderful relationships with the Royal Family and on this occasion we were able to host an important event for Sea Vision for whom the Princess Royal is patron.

We are very grateful to The Princess Royal for her visit and for me personally seeing the wonderful reaction from both our ship’s company and our guests made it all the more special. Of course it reminds of just how much warmth there is towards the Royal Family here in the UK and just how proud we are to have our own heritage and links to the Royal Family. The weekend approaching is a very special one for all of us here in the UK as we celebrate Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee. In our own small way we too will pay our tribute with the gathering of our Three Queens here in Southampton. It promises to be a very special day indeed and we will be sharing it with you. On my drive home this evening I could see that the bunting is going up in many villages – I think this weekend is going to be a real lift for Great Britain and a reminder that we have a lot to be proud of. And the Olympics are still to come where yet again Great Britain will win all the “sitting down” sports – more to come on that over the next few weeks.

Have a great weekend wherever you may be.

Best Regards,

Peter

Thank you Peter for involving us in this visit with the video.

Watching this was emotional for me, I was presented to the Princess when she named our ship
(probably emotional for her on that occasion because we were moored next to Britannia in Leith)

Please could you feature Sea Vision in a future blog.

  2. Rob Holloway says:

Thank you for sharing with us this video on the visit of The Princess Royal and the event for Sea Vision.
I agree, more information on Sea Vision and how Cunard works with these programs would be informative.

    Cheers

We, in Australia and especially, the Hunter Valley, wish Cunard, its Ships and especially, its Captains, Crews and Ships’ Companies, joy at the Diamond Anniversary. As one, who has lunched with Queen Elizabeth 11, this unique Occasion, will be celebrated here in the Hunter Valley and throughout the whole of Australia. It is interesting to recollect that Her Majestry, has travelled sixteen times, to our Land, throughout Her Reign. As a proud People, far away, we, as a Nation are very close, in contact, allegiance and honour of Her Majesty and The Crown.
