Amazing how quickly she is coming along. Concerned though at the style of the funnel, not as asthetically pleasing as the one QE2 had. As a Cunard traveller, although I am interested in seeing the progress of the new Cunard ship, the new Queen Elizabeth to me is just like another modern cruise ship and personally I am not as excited about this newbuilding than I was when the Queen Mary 2 was under construction.

Thanks for the update Alastair and interesting to see how things are progressing. It is also interesting to note the exhaust pipes are painted black this time around, unlike QV at that stage much better methinks).

I assume she will also receive a temporary registry in due course?

I'll take my anorak off now...!

Rgds

Queen Elizabeth is coming along thick and fast! I don't see how it is safe to have rubber decks as they'd be slippery and dangerous to walk on in wet weather.

Tell me, does Cunard have any other new-builds in the pipeline?

My partner and I are booked to sail from L.A to Sydney in Jan 2011 as part of her first world cruise and like the Quen Victoria which where we did New York to L.A as a part of her first world cruise i am equally and eagerly awaiting her arrival. This great sit will keep me informed of her progress. Keep up the fantastic work

AMAZING PICTURES!
I really can't believe how quickly this is going! Still, she has a long way to go. I do have one question about QE's design, will she have teak decks, or the rubber decks that QV has?
