Nice to see that Mr. Kier served with J & J Denholm, a long established Scottish shipowning and shipagency company. Denholm’s Ship Agency operation aka Denholm Barwil Ltd look after Cunard cruise vessels in many UK ports including Greenock, South Queensferry and Liverpool.Maybe one day I will sail on one of the vessels as a guest instead of boarding in my capacity as the Port Agent!

Alastair,
Good write up from Ronnie Kier, met him on QE2 and QM2. Very pleasant to talk to, wish him the best on board the Q,Victoria. Also i now see that Brian Watling is Back on board QM2, another nice fellow and great to talk to. We joined him once on his table for Dinner one evening, tells very good jokes. Hope Brian and family are enjoying their new home in France. Keep the photos comming.

Elaine lives in the Southeast of Spain, and last I heard from friends that know her and are her nieghbors, she is doing well. A nice lady as well as Maureen Ryan.

Was just on for the QM2’s Lap of Honour, around the British Isles. Ran into Mr. Kier, who was Chief Engineer, for that voyage, and who is so approachable and nice. It was great to see him again and look forward to seeing him again on QM2, Queen Victoria, or perhaps the new Queen Elizabeth.

You mention Maureen Ryan, a very lovely lady. The other social directress I used to see on QE2 was Elaine McKay. What is she doing now?
