It was so wonderful to see a truly iconic vessel that so proudly follows in the wake of the famous Cunarders before her - it was especially poignent for me as over a year before I had seen QE2 make its 9th and last call to the city - and a year ago in November I was amongst the many thousands who bid a very emotional and heartfelt 'Goodbye' to this much loved legend. As I said I was most honoured to sail with Queen Mary 2 for the first time in July and I look forward to many more happy and memorable voyages on this wonderful ship. Long may she reign!
