We Are Cunard

Posted in: Queen Victoria

Greetings from Queen Victoria as we cross the Equator heading North to Saipan. Our bloggers in the UK may be interested to hear that a documentary filmed for the BBC Two Timewatch series on QE2′s farewell voyage to Dubai, is being screened tomorrow night (28th February) at 8pm UK time on BBC2.

Good job with this blog. The photos and notes are always of interest.

Just curious, is a DVD of this programme available for “Cunard Loyalists” in the U.S.? If so, where could I obtain a copy? Thank you.

  3. Paul Weighill says:

    Hi Alistair
Not sure who to ask this question to but I’m hoping you can forward this on to the right person.
Is it possible to have the itineraries of the Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 posted either on your blog or on the Cunard web site. There are many of us who love to follow the ships around the world and whilst the web cam shows as where they are now it doesn’t necessarily show us there they are going or where they will be on any given date.

I know we all keep saying this but great blog thanks

  4. Christian Reay says:

QE2 – The Final Voyage was indeed a very good and well presented documentary about a now sadly missed legend on her last voyage. The programme featured a lot of very rare footage of the ship being built at John Brown & Co. in the 1960′s. It was also very gratifying to see that QE2′s role as a troop-transport in the Falklands War was remembered.

I continue to remember my voyage on QE2 with immense fondness and look forward to stepping aboard Queen Mary 2 for the first time in July 2009.
